New York City is a stomping ground for all kinds of things. But a rogue florist? Now, this is surely something New Yorkers haven’t seen before.
Floral and event designer Lewis Miller has become known for the incredible floral arrangements he puts together for events such as wedding and galas, but he’s also gaining popularity with a broader audience because of the pop-up floral displays he’s been setting up all over New York City.
You never know when exactly these Flower Flashes, as the Miller team calls them, are going to happen, but you’ll know them when they do. Miller and his team have taken over some of the city’s most iconic areas, such as the famous “Love” statue:
In a blog post on his site Miller wrote, “Gifting flowers to New Yorkers is a simple idea that I have been thinking about for years. I am in the business of fantasy and flowers, and it’s my job to transform key moments in my clients’ lives into joyful, everlasting memories. I wanted to recreate a similar feeling for the everyday city-dwellers and tourists of New York City.”
