 Technology is now advancing like never before. In tandem with every field of industry and science is automobile technology that is producing cars too fantastic to believe. The automobile industry has come a long way since the Ford in 1908 and if you see the new concepts that are hitting the drawing boards of the automobile industry; you will be amazed that such cars could ever exist. Car manufacturers around the world have invented some fantastic designs with concept cars that are yet to be implemented on a commercial level. Take a look at 20 concept cars that we wish could be real.

Bugatti 57 Atlantic





This sleek Bugatti model is the Bugatti 57 Atlantic and is characterized by a blend of 1950’s features with sharp modern curves. It was designed by a graphic designer from France, Bruno Delussu who wanted a car that glided through the air like hand glides over silk.

 BMW i8 concept

This is an electrical model from BMW that can reach 62 mph in under five seconds. It can notch up a sped of 155 mph. Its sleek sports design with its eco-friendly features will make this a much-wanted vehicle if it is ever implemented.

 Mercedes-Benz Biome concept

This was inspired by a later Mercedes Benz model entered in the LA Auto Show way back in 2010. The manufacturer wanted to produce a car below 450 kgs that runs on alternate fuel called BioNectar 4534. The vehicle will also emit oxygen instead of carbon gases. It is completely eco-friendly and recyclable and can be broken down to be used as building material.

 Jaguar C-XS

This looks like a modern take on the Batmobile and is almost invisible because of its reflective features. The Concept Jaguar was designed by Janak Mistry intending it to be a car for the year 2050.

 Audi A-100

This is one lovely car designed by Miguel Angel Mojica Pulido. It is an Audi concept car set for release in the year 2100. It looks like a PC mouse and is being designed to be powered by natural fuels derived from wind, solar and even algae. This particular model will be powered by electricity with a possible magnetic hovering system to make it go faster although the technology is yet to be invented.

 Renault EZ-Go

The Renault EZ-GO is a futuristic design that will have a zero-emission feature. It has a speed limit of 30mph and comes with WIFI, USB charging ports, and huge glass windows. It is a perfect tourist taxi and is being called the robo-taxi by Renault’s chief engineer Laurent Taupin. It can also be summoned by an app.

 Lagonda Vision concept

This luxury driverless vehicle comes from the house of Aton Martin. It has no engine or gearbox or steering wheel making it unusually spacious to accommodate passengers. It is lined with carbon fiber, ceramics along with other luxury amenities to provide maximum comfort. The vehicle is designed to run at a range of 400 miles.

 Toyota FV2





Toyota’s new concept car deviates from standard designs and is minimalistic in nature. The triangle shape care integrates AI technology to interact with a passenger or driver to assess moods and change the color of the car accordingly. How about that?

 Light Cocoon

The Light Cocoon has been manufactured by German automobile manufacturer EDAG. The designers admit they were inspired by “bats wings and leaves”. The vehicle uses minimum material but the light structure is extremely strong and sturdy. The car is lined with LED lights that can be changed to change the color of the car.

 Envision Energy EV concept

This incredible concept vehicle has been designed by Giorgetto and Fabrizio Giugiaro. The most unique feature is the entry where a driver enters through the windshield that slides forward. The car runs on electric motors and has a range of 280 miles. The futuristic science fiction car will run on 100% electricity powered by German battery company SonnenCharger.

 Lexus 2054 concept car

This car resembles the one in the film Minority Report where the car used in the film was designed by the same manufacturer Lexus and its car designer Harald Belker. The design was inspired by production designer Alex McDowell who wanted a futuristic look to the vehicle used by Tom Cruise.

 Chaparral 2x Vision GT

This futuristic model was initially designed by Chevrolet for the PlayStation game Gran Turismo 6. The company liked it so much they decided to bring the car to life. This sports model is one seater and runs on a 671kw laser engine. By creating shockwaves inside the atmosphere of the generator, the car will then reach speeds up to 240mph.

 Renault KWID

When this vehicle first premiered in the Dubai Auto Show, it created shockwaves throughout the industry. The one-seater comes with a flying drone hidden in the roof compartment. The drone comes with an HD camera to help you check traffic and other road conditions. It also allows you to take photographs.

 FUN VII

This is the baby of Japanese manufacturer Toyota and is unlike any car you may have ever seen. The car comes with a gigantic LED screen covering both sides and can display whatever the driver wants it to. The car has some pretty neat features like augmented reality, facial recognition, and a navigation concierge.

 E-Palette

This is another from the house of Toyota that comes in three sizes ranging from 13 to 22 feet. It has a self-driving system that has attracted attention from the likes of Pizza Hut when it debuted at this year’s CES. Who knows in the future your pizza may be delivered by car.

 En Verge

The EN Verge manufactured by the Chinese team of GAC was showcased at this year’s North American International Auto Show in Detroit. It is an entirely new concept that comes with high luxurious interiors, HD TV and invisible door handles. The seat looks like the pilot seat from the ship of Star Trek.

 FE fuel cell





This is Hyundai’s version of a futuristic low emission vehicle that the company is hoping to implement commercially in a few years. The car is powered by a hydrogen fuel cell that could propel it to speeds of 490 mph where you can drive from San Diego to San Francisco on a single tank of fuel.

 I-TRIL

A third baby form Toyota that makes this incredible list but with a quirky approach. It is a three wheel car meant for drivers less than six feet. The vehicle is self-driven with a max range of 185 miles.

 Volkswagen Cedric

This is the first Volkswagen self-driven car that comes without a steering wheel, dashboard controls or pedals. The car has some natural features like an air purification system derived from charcoal filters and purifying plants that line its back window.

 Mitsubishi MMR25


This futuristic vehicle from Mitsubishi can revolutionize racing altogether. The technology that drives this vehicle is the icing on the cake where it has no windows but screens to display the world outside. The lightweight racer has nine motors powering each wheel for multidirectional steering. It is powered by nano lithium batteries that can make it go 1000 miles on a single charge.
