Who are the famous actors depicting millionaires or fictional characters that we are most in awe of? That glitz and glam lifestyle that our tv shows or movies never fail to mesmerize us with? Well, there’s the entire cast of Gossip Girl who showed what life is like on the Upper East Side. And then there are movies characters like Richie Rich or men in expensive suits and cars as those shown in the James Bond movies and the like.
Now all this tv show depiction of the millionaire lifestyle and the extravagant lifestyle is all but a fantasy. I know your minds were made up. Hollywood has a way of convincing you of things that aren’t real. Yes. You read that right. That all so glamorous lifestyle is all but fiction. Well, maybe not all, maybe the lifestyle is not incorrectly portrayed. But the appearance of these famous rich people is very wrong.
There are certain prejudices that excessive exposure to tv shows and movies do create without one having the right means of information to compare it against. And this article shall pertain to the image of millionaire personalities that has been mythically sanctioned into an over-the-top image.
Now when you hear the term ‘millionaire’ you expect to see a very stable and established personality with perfect suits and expensive cars and the latest gadgets who consume only the most expensive brands and wears only the most well-known products.
But have you ever really sat down and hung out with a millionaire? Have you actually seen very rich people showing off their money and extravagance? I bet most of you have not even met real millionaires.
Because real millionaires do not have a need to show off their wealth. They are so wealthy themselves that they have no need to impress anyone else. Their success exceeds their introduction and they don’t require expensive clothing or expensive watches and jewelry to make a point or prove their financial standing to anyone. The ones who need to explicitly make this a point are the ones who are insecure of their financial standing and need to show off in order to depict their status.

Not a lot of millionaires, well, actually these are billionaires, but the same principle applies here as well, are that conscious of themselves and care that much about others opinions because they are satisfied with what they did and what they gave and they do not care much for the appeal and acceptance of others as such.
If we look at Mr. Burns, all he cares about is how to extract money out of minimal expenses and live his lavish life. Do you ever see him being even a little conscious of what others would think of him? No, because he is the boss of everyone’s income and their necks are on the line at his will.
Not all millionaires are as crude though but this is just a humorous example to get the message across that the lion does not concern himself with the opinion of the sheep.
